Wine Cellar : Visit to a home wine maker

-
This is the benefit of having a large basement where you can make wine and fill them with your own inventions. This is actually my friend's house in the USA, where he makes wine at home. He does this by purchasing the desired wine juice and then fermenting it in his basement. He has all the tools of the trade with the sulphur dioxide and the cork inserter. And labels are home made too!

See the bottles of Merlot, Pinot Noir sitting happily on the shelves....
A big smile like a kid in a candy store....

Wine Entry : Ladoix, 1ER Cru - Parent 2005 (French)

-

We had this wine at a restuarant in Chicago, it was very flavourful and intense with some spice and oak for a pinot noir which was relatively pale in the glass. It was a nice opportunity to assess how the 2005s were doing in the bottle.
